Information we collect

ResyNYC does not require an account and does not collect names, payment information, or reservation credentials. If you choose “Suggest an update,” your device opens your email application; any information you send is received through that email rather than a form or database on this site.

The site uses two analytics services:

• Vercel Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic information such as pages viewed, referring site, general location, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel describes this service as cookie-free and designed not to identify or track people across sites.
• Google Analytics is disabled until you select “Allow analytics.” If enabled, it may collect page URLs, interactions, approximate location, browser and device information, and a client identifier stored in a first-party _ga cookie. Advertising storage and ad personalization are disabled in our implementation. Learn about Google Analytics data collection.

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under resynyc-analytics-consent so the site can remember it.

How information is used and shared

Analytics is used to understand which reservation guides are useful, improve site performance, and prioritize directory updates. ResyNYC does not sell personal information. Limited usage data is processed by Vercel and, only after consent, Google under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may also be disclosed if reasonably required by law or to protect the site and its users.

Your choices

You may reject Google Analytics when the banner appears or reopen Cookie settings from any page footer. Rejecting analytics does not limit the directory. You may also clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser. Browser privacy controls and Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on provide additional choices.

Third-party booking links

ResyNYC links to restaurants and services such as Resy, OpenTable, SevenRooms, DoorDash, and Tock. Those sites receive information directly from you when you visit or book, and their privacy policies—not this one—govern that activity.

Retention, security, and children

ResyNYC does not maintain user accounts or a direct behavioral-profile database. Analytics providers retain information according to their settings and policies. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. The directory is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13.
